Jonathan from The Village will be putting together a reflection that we'll share for you to watch on Good Friday at your convenience. We love that these long weekends create space for time with family and friends, and we would encourage you, whether on your own or with others, to carve out some time that allows you to consider and even experience the darkness we sit in as the Church on Good Friday. There's a tension in the darkness that is so powerful, especially being on this side of the resurrection, when we can contrast the disappointment and confusion of Jesus' followers at the cross, and the hope of the resurrection that promises God will not leave us in the dark. "38 And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. 39 No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39 *The link will be posted to our Socials on Thursday and will 'go live' at 9am on Friday morning.
