Leading My Family Well
The idea of family is very different for many of us, and they come in all different shapes and sizes! As we dive into 1 Samuel chapter 1, we’ll take a look at Hannah, Samuel’s mother, who we’ll draw some extremely important thoughts on ‘Spiritual Leadership in the family’ from. Regardless of what your family unit looks like, we can all learn from this amazing woman’s story and we’re looking forward to doing that together.
A Time to Focus
Every day we have a choice where to focus. The writer to the Hebrews encourages us to fix our eyes on
Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith.
Passage: Hebrews 12:1-3.
A Time To Be Different
As the world around us changes with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) and you navigate through life this week, remember who you belong to. Rejoice in the Lord always. Fix your minds on Christ and the God of Peace will be with you. This is the time for the Church to step-up and be the peace that we preach about.

18 “Listen then to what the parable of the sower means: 19 When anyone hears the message about the kingdom and does not understand it, the evil one comes and snatches away what was sown in their heart. This is the seed sown along the path. 20 The seed falling on rocky ground refers to someone who hears the word and at once receives it with joy. 21 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. 22 The seed falling among the thorns refers to someone who hears the word, but the worries of this life and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, making it unfruitful. 23 But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”

Reframing My Filter
3 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. 4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. 5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
– 2 Corinthians 10:3-5
